Friday’s 5 Loves are usually a compilation of the things I’ve been in love with that week. Today I decided to follow up on my last post Top 5 Natural Hair Tips for Any Length with a list of my natural hair must have tools and accessories. Of course I couldn’t settle on five. So, here are my six:
Q-Redew. The Q-Redew is an amazing hand-held hair steamer. It’s lightweight and compact so it’s great for at-home or on-the-go moisture. Check out my review here and a coupon code to save 20%! (Coupon expires today.)
Goody Spin Pins. When I first tried these I was surprised that i really ONLY needed the two that come in the box to secure all of my hair. They make it easy and fun to create updos without being and pain and needing tons of bobby pins. Check out my review here.
Goody Stay Put Hair Elastics. I’ve been using these for most of my time natural and they make buns and puffs so easy to create because they’re secure but they’re not too tight so they don’t hurt.
Seamless Comb. I purchased a seamless comb before even going natural. They can be a little pricy but it’s the best comb to use because since it’s seamless – no jagged edges – it won’t snag or pull your hair. Many combs have tiny imperfections that can snag or pull the hair. These imperfections might not be picked up by the naked eye but I prefer not to take the chance.
Scalp Massager. I have been using a scalp massager for the past few months. It’s great for hair growth and blood circulation in the scalp. Here’s my tutorial and an article I wrote on the benefits of scalp massages.
Hair Therapy Wrap. The Hair Therapy Wrap is an easy convenient way to deep condition your hair. I’ve had mine since I started transitioning. It is wonderful and still in perfect condition. It allows you to deep condition your hair without being stationary because it’s cordless. Click here for my review.
